How do I install Drivewyze

Installing Drivewyze is a simple, straightforward process designed to minimize downtime and get fleets and drivers up and running quickly. Because Drivewyze operates as a software-based solution, there’s no need for physical transponders or additional in-cab hardware, making installation easy for both individual drivers and large fleets.

The installation process varies slightly depending on whether you’re activating Drivewyze through a telematics/ELD platform or using the mobile app:

Installation Through a Supported ELD or Telematics System: Drivewyze integrates seamlessly with most major ELD and telematics platforms, such as Geotab, Omnitracs, Verizon Connect, Motive (formerly KeepTruckin), Samsara, Trimble, and others. For these setups:

Contact your telematics provider or Drivewyze representative to activate services.

Your provider will remotely install the Drivewyze application onto your ELD or in-cab device—no hardware installation required.

Once installed, drivers will see Drivewyze alerts and notifications appear directly on their existing display.

Follow any setup prompts to complete the activation, including entering vehicle information if required.

Installation Using the Drivewyze Mobile App: If you’re an independent driver, owner-operator, or operating a fleet without a supported telematics platform, Drivewyze is accessible via the mobile app:

Download the Drivewyze app from the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

Install the app on a compatible smartphone or tablet with an active cellular data connection and GPS capability.

Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to register, enter vehicle details, and complete setup.

Ensure the app has the necessary permissions to access location data and display notifications.

Once setup is complete, Drivewyze will automatically deliver weigh station bypass notifications, real-time safety alerts, and parking availability information as applicable.

Testing and Verification: After installation, Drivewyze recommends testing the system while traveling near a participating weigh station or Smart Roadways site to confirm alerts are functioning properly.

In short, installing Drivewyze is quick, requires no physical equipment, and can be done remotely, allowing fleets and drivers to improve safety, efficiency, and compliance with minimal setup time.
