Yes, Drivewyze is fully legal and compliant with regulations in all states where our services are offered. Drivewyze operates in partnership with state and provincial enforcement agencies, ensuring that all weigh station bypasses, e-Inspection, and safety alert services meet applicable legal standards and regulatory requirements.

Drivewyze PreClear, our weigh station bypass service, is authorized by state departments of transportation, public safety agencies, and enforcement authorities. Our system works by securely transmitting relevant safety and credential information to these agencies in real time. Based on this data and each state’s specific rules, drivers receive in-cab notifications indicating whether they are cleared to bypass or must pull in for inspection.

Importantly, Drivewyze never guarantees a bypass—compliance decisions always rest with state and enforcement officials. Drivers are only granted bypasses when they meet safety criteria set by the jurisdiction, such as acceptable safety scores, valid registration, and up-to-date credentials. This ensures both fleet efficiency and roadway safety are maintained.

While Drivewyze is legally recognized in the vast majority of U.S. states and Canadian provinces, there are still a few jurisdictions where weigh station bypass via Drivewyze is not yet available due to pending partnerships or infrastructure development. However, in these areas, drivers can still benefit from Drivewyze’s real-time safety alerts and other connected services.

Drivewyze is continually expanding its partnerships with state and provincial agencies to grow our coverage network. We also actively collaborate with enforcement partners to enhance safety, streamline inspections, and support regulatory compliance across North America.

For fleets and drivers, this means peace of mind—Drivewyze provides legal, transparent, and fully authorized services designed to keep trucks moving efficiently while maintaining compliance with all applicable state, provincial, and federal regulations.
