  • Data Developer

    We are looking for a developer to join our team who can help scale up our data platform to meet our growing needs. As part of the Drivewyze data team, you will expand the data infrastructure to support an ever-increasing customer and product list.

    Location: Head Office, Edmonton
    Report to: Manager, Data Intelligence Group

    About the role: Drivewyze uses an event-based model for capturing data from hundreds of thousands of devices in the field, which requires scalable storage, transformation, retrieval, and analysis. As a Data Developer, you will be working with our existing data lake and data warehouse platform to write new ingestors, ETL jobs, and warehouse schema updates. Your goal is to work with stakeholders to ensure that project business logic requirements are accurately translated into data flows and proactively anticipate data performance/scalability challenges in the project planning phase. Additionally, you will work with product development teams to assist in the development of APIs and tools that access warehouse data.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Create jobs for extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various data sources using SQL, NoSQL, Map-Reduce, and other technologies.
    • Working with stakeholders to understand project data requirements.
    • Creating ingestors for new data sources.
    • Expanding and improving existing PySpark implementation.
    • Optimizing data warehouse for performant querying.
    • Work with the data platform team to recommend data platform improvements based on project needs.
    • Identify commonalities across disparate projects to reduce redundant ETL jobs.

    Job requirements:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field/experience.
    • Experience in end-to-end design of data engineering solutions combined with knowledge of data architectures.
    • Knowledge of data lake, data warehousing, and ETL concepts, including knowledge and experience running ETL pipelines of multiple sources.
    • This is an intermediate position requiring demonstrated knowledge and skill in the following areas:

  • Software Developer Team Lead

    About the Job: Your mission will be to create and enhance Drivewyze applications and technology platforms to meet the needs of our customers. You will be involved in the design and development of new projects and applications that build on and expand the Drivewyze platform as a full-stack developer. As a technical team lead, you will provide guidance to your scrum team and seek ways to take it to the next level.

    • Work closely as part of an agile scrum team to execute an idea from concept to delivery using industry best practices for software design, coding, and processes.
    • Serve as a voice of technical needs and foster collaboration and communication by solving problems with win-win outcomes. Coach and mentor software developers and provide guidance on day-to-day activities.

  • Product Operations Manager

    The Product Operations Manager supports the product management organization and enables the product team to operate efficiently at scale. This role is focused on connecting everyday work to business outcomes through communication and by driving cross-functional alignment across internal teams. This key role will provide data-driven product/business insights, establish well-defined product management processes and standards of practices, facilitate internal communication and alignment, and support the operational aspects of the product organization.

    About the role: We’re looking for someone with high data literacy, analytical curiosity, and great collaboration skills to drive Product Team efficiency, empower the Product Team with product and market insights, and enable the product organization to manage the product lifecycle.

    Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Product Analytics and Reporting

    • Support data-driven decisions through the quantitative collection, analysis, and communication of product usage, adoption, engagement, sentiment, and audience segmentation. This includes data from pilots/experiments, product usage, customer feedback, feature requests, and support tickets as well as data from internal teams such as Sales, Marketing, and Finance.
    • Help define, analyze, and communicate key product trends and metrics and support the collection, structure, and distribution of customer feedback. This includes supporting product discovery processes by conducting market research, ecosystem analysis, and partner evaluations.
    • Coach, guide, and support the Product Team in data analysis using enterprise analytics tools.

    Product Management Program Playbook

    • Facilitate the development of a formal product management program and playbook. This includes assisting the development and implementation of a product management program and toolkit that includes a “voice of the customer” program with supporting internal groups to surface key insights and inform key stakeholder groups.
    • As the program lead, build understanding and adoption of the program management program and standards of practice across the team. This includes maintaining the playbook, templates, guidelines, how-to references, and resources so the product team can operate efficiently.
    • Support product launch readiness and execution, working cross-functionally with Product, Revenue, Operations teams to ensure product launches achieve their objectives when needed. Assist in developing and delivering product demos as needed.
    • Develop and deliver training for both process changes and new product launches.
    • Support new hire onboarding and coordinate product management team training.

    Product Management Tools and Optimization

    • Collect and compile the overall roadmap of product initiatives and track progression working with value stream product management leads. Develop presentations to facilitate discussions on progress status, results and outcomes, opportunities, gaps, and resources requirements.
    • Monitor team communication and cross-functional communication with internal stakeholders and other teams, ensuring alignment on business objectives and priorities.
    • Act as the lead representing product management on enterprise initiatives, and drive and lead product management initiatives across the product management team.
    • Oversee the product management tech stack, document best practices in the product management playbook, and support the team on understanding use. Develop and deliver training on product management practices, processes, tools, and systems.

    Experience and Skills

    • Degree or diploma in Business, Engineering, or related field.
    • 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional product teams in a high-growth technology organization.
    • Knowledge of Product Operations and the product lifecycle.
    • Excellent data analysis skills and previous experience with data and analytics platforms such as Tableau, Mixpanel, or other similar.
    • Self-starter with a high comfort with ambiguity and a passion for creating efficiencies and streamlining processes

  • Product Manager – Connected Truck Solutions

    Our dynamic and collaborative product team is on a mission to revolutionize transportation safety and efficiency. Built on our industry-leading platform, we have an expanding portfolio of safety and compliance solutions for commercial transportation markets.

    We are looking for a Product Manager to lead our exciting portfolio of connect truck solutions. This portfolio leverages our SaaS software platform, our network of Connected Trucks, and integrations with infrastructure services and sensors to solve problems for both public and private infrastructure owners. This is a dual role focused on both project and program management helping to shape and explore new product and market opportunities.   • Sales Development Representative

    The Sales Development Representative (SDR) work will focus on outbound sales strategy, specifically prospecting and filling the sales funnel with qualified opportunities. This position will spend most of its time vetting leads, making phone calls, following up, and scheduling appointments. The SDR will work with various lead types to identify opportunities that meet a minimum qualification criterion to hand off to field sales.     About the Job:

    Your mission will be to create and enhance Drivewyze applications to meet the needs of our customers as part of a talented team of Software Developers, QA, Product Managers, and other internal partners. As a full-stack developer, you will be involved in the design and development of new projects, building on, and expanding the Drivewyze platform. This can involve portal applications, back-end services, APIs, supporting tools, plus continuous integration and deployment, security improvements, and architectural changes.

    Job responsibilities include:

    • Design, architect, develop, code review, and test key geolocation-based applications on our cloud platform. The tech stack includes Python, Django, Node.js, ReactJS, Docker, Kubernetes, Lisp, Postgres, MongoDB, and Microsoft SQL Server.
    • Develop, manage and improve current cloud architecture, RESTful APIs, and microservices applicable to the platform.
    • Apply industry best practices and your deep knowledge and expertise to execute an idea from concept to delivery as a member of an agile and collaborative team.
    • Continuously discover, evaluate, recommend and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and deliver advanced applications.

    Job requirements:

    • 3+ years’ previous experience in application development including back-end services, mobile applications, and databases.
    • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, computer engineering or related degree, diploma, and/or applicable work experience.
    • You love solving problems, are motivated and methodical, and have high attention to detail.
