Overview #
Drivewyze offers bypass services in Alberta, however not all carriers are eligible. Use the following to understand the requirements needed for successful bypasses in Alberta.

For Vehicles Plated in Alberta #
- The vehicles need to be subscribed to Drivewyze’s Alberta Bypass Service.
- The vehicles must have valid Alberta registered license plates.
- The fleet must maintain a Satisfactory or higher safety rating
- The fleet must obtain Drivewyze service via one of these partner platforms or via Drivewyze direct mobile service. Other partners do not yet support Alberta bypass services:
- Drivewyze Direct Mobile
- Geotab (via Advantage Asset Tracking)
- ISAAC Instruments
- Motive (via DriveWyze Direct Mobile)
- Omnitracs Canada
- Platform Science
- Samsara (via Drivewyze Direct Mobile)
- Trimble
- Verizon (via DriveWyze Direct Mobile)
For Vehicles Plated in Other Provinces & the US #
- Other than carriers with Alberta plated vehicles, only carriers that are or were members of the Alberta Partners in Compliance program (AB PIC) are eligible for Alberta Bypass service. A list of them can be found here.
- The vehicles need to be subscribed to Drivewyze’s Alberta Bypass Service.
- The fleet must provide a valid National Safety Code (NSC) or Commercial Vehicle Operator Registration (CVOR) number to its Drivewyze Customer Success Manager or Drivewyze Sales Team Member.
- The fleet’s vehicles must have valid registered license plates and VINs.
- The fleet must maintain a Satisfactory or higher safety rating.
